John Edwards

Founder of 3e Associates Ltd, John is a highly experienced ICT Strategist with over 20 years of ICT market and management experience. John has excellent interpersonal, problem solving and lead negotiator skills and a wealth of experience in commercial and contractual process and negotiation. John has worked widely across the UK Education capital programmes of the last ten years including BSF and Academies and this includes working directly with Schools, Local Authorities, Construction and ICT companies. Always practical and results driven, John brings extensive sales, management and leadership skills combined with a wealth of public and private sector experience.

Phil Dawson

Phil has been an Educational Technologist for over 14 years, ten of those in senior positions with one of the UK's leading education technology companies. He is both a seasoned procurement professional and a proven leader of strategic change, capable of co-creating and procuring complex, multi-partner propositions to meet the particular needs of education clients. His experience ranges from strategic proposition development for national projects such as Northern Ireland’s C2K, to leading successful bids for multi-million pound, BSF technology contracts in authorities such as Salford, Somerset, Camden, Bradford and Islington.

As a result, he is an excellent communicator with the gravitas of working with senior stakeholders to deliver both business and policy objectives. His management experience is broad, encompassing business operations, commercial management of third parties, programme management and public sector grant processes. This breadth of work has built a strong network of business and policy contacts in the educational ICT marketplace who can endorse his credentials.


Dave Hornsey

Dave is one of the industry's leading Solutions Architect with 25 years of experience developing, designing and delivering ICT solutions to educational establishments. He is reknowned for breaking new ground, operating as an effective bridge between ’Techies’ and Senior management and he always delivers measurable results. He was the Solutions Architect for the first, and longest running, schools based managed service in Dudley. Through many years of working with designers and builders, he has developed class-leading integration tools with commendations from both customers and independent consultants alike.

Mark Platt

Mark is a highly accomplished BSF professional who has worked in the Education ICT sector for over 13 years. Mark has worked on supplier proposals for Managed
Service, Programme Delivery, Risk and Commercials and Implementation in a number of key projects including three of the four PFI pathfinder ICT projects and many BSF projects, Mark has also worked directly with Local Authorities, LEPs and  Schools including providing advisory services to Birmingham City Council and Service Birmingham on their BSF mobilisation, implementation and integration. Most recently, Mark has conducted ICT Procurement activities on behalf of a number of schools and is currently engaged in the procurement of a Strategic ICT Partner for the King Edward VI Foundation in Birmingham.

Significant success in working with school leaders primary and secondary on strategic management for school improvement, and practitioners on improving learning and teaching, particularly with Technology. Effective management and delivery of professional development for these audiences, both individually and in larger groups.

Currently Naace Lead, with Carol Porter, for PDE and the Standards Library; school improvement consultant in several primary and secondary schools
